Sin City surprisingly outside Top 10 godless cities

A recent study by the American Bible Society shows Sin City didn’t even crack the Top 10 least Bible-minded cities in the nation.
As RJ reporter Adam Causey noted on Saturday, Las Vegas, once billed as a place for forbidden entertainment, seems to be growing out of its Sin City moniker.
This new study only seems to add to that identity crisis.
The award for the least Bible-minded cities goes to the adjacent metros of Providence, R.I., and New Bedford, Mass., according to a recent study by the American Bible Society.
The survey ranked U.S. states by how “Bible-minded” they are based on a combination of how often people read the Bible and how accurate they think the Bible is.
“Respondents who report reading the Bible within the past seven days and who agree strongly in the accuracy of the Bible are classified as ‘Bible Minded,’” the study’s methodology said.
Other less Bible-minded cities included Boston, San Francisco and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Even Portland, Maine, was less Bible-minded than Las Vegas, which came in 11th in the study.
The most Bible-minded cities in the country were all in the South, with Chattanooga, Tenn., coming in first.
