Clark County delays medical pot dispensary selections
diciembre 3, 2014 - 10:49 am
Clark County commissioners held off on Wednesday making any decisions about medical marijuana dispensaries, due to a pending lawsuit over the selection process.
The delay was made at the request of the district attorney’s office.
The meeting on Wednesday was originally to focus on what the county should do after its top picks for 18 dispensaries didn’t match up with the state’s top choices.
As a result, only 10 dispensaries have the necessary approvals from the county and state, even though unincorporated Clark County is allowed up to 18 dispensaries.
One group of eight dispensary applicants has approval from only the county, while a separate group of eight dispensary applicants has approval from only the state.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
